All Join In - family celebration

Come along and explore the new Quentin Blake Centre for Illustration at ‘All Join In’, our first family celebration event.

Suitable for all ages, this outdoor event will introduce families to the free accessible spaces available at London’s brand-new home for illustration. 

Activities included

  • A chance to see our new public sculpture and create a river of wishes with Such Stories
  • Explore Play Build Play’s new co-designed playable furniture
  • Collaborate on a flower garden with MURUGIAH, inspired by his colourful creations
  • Time to explore our new gardens and help us make them pollinator-friendly with the St John’s Garden volunteers
  • Visit the Engine House Library and try your hand at Jay Cover’s illustration prompts
  • ‘Exquisite People’, a community collaboration with Islington Centre for Refugees and Migrants, will be on display in the Windmill Base
  • In the Boiler House Cafe see New River College Medical’s search for the New River in a new film made with Laura Copsey and Simon Hamlyn
