Schools are welcome at Quentin Blake Centre for Illustration!
Self-Led Visits and Facilitated Workshops can help you deliver a wide range of curriculum topics, including art and design, literacy, history, geography and STEM subjects.
We can also visit your school or try out our free illustration activities in your classroom.

Self-Led Visits
Design your own visit to support classroom learning. Take inspiration from different illustrators, sketch different textures and shapes, learn about the history of our water system, explore the biodiversity in our outdoor spaces and make a wish!
Includes:
- welcome and briefing on arrival
- access to all three ticketed exhibitions and additional displays
- access to the Library, which includes original artworks, illustration activities and over 1,800 illustrated books
- access to a large outdoor space, offering a heritage trail, play benches, wishing horse sculpture, gated play/picnic area and biodiverse planting
- pencils, clipboards and outdoor explorer bags
Sketching is encouraged everywhere in and around the building and clipboards can be provided.
Cost: £135 (inc VAT) for a group of up to 30 students (under 18) and their accompanying adults. Free for Islington schools.
