On Friday 28 November 2025, we celebrated illustration in all its forms for the third year running.
The next National Illustration Day is moving to Friday 22 January 2027.
After three successful years of running the day on the last Friday in November, we’ve decided to shift things slightly and open up a new year by bringing together all things illustration in one joyous day in January.
In January, celebrate the pictures that are part of our lives and the brilliant people who make them!

On 29 November 2024 we reached thousands of people on social media, museums shared illustration from their collections and we met AOI members

On the very first National Illustration Day, our hashtag trended, illustrators were at the BBC, schools got creative and we popped up in Islington
