Arrows of Love

14 February – 29 April 2018
Exhibited at the House of Illustration

An exhibition of Quentin Blake’s rarely-seen nudes.

The exhibition showcased exuberant pencil drawings depicting women avoiding or embracing Cupid’s arrow. Selected by Blake from his personal archive, they show his masterful depiction of gesture and emotion, and reveal his light-hearted reflections on the joy, folly and sorrow of love.
