In this fun and friendly weekender, you will learn how to create stunning lithography prints using simple art materials and household items.

You'll explore the principles of lithography and discover how to create a small edition of lithography print with hand colouring through a series of demonstrations and hands-on tasks led by illustrator and printmaker Viola Wang.

By the end of the weekend you’ll have created a small run of unique prints with a process that is environmentally-friendly and non-toxic – perfect for gifting to family and friends.
 
Whether you’re looking for a relaxed way to unwind or you’re a creative looking to explore a new medium. This workshop requires no previous experience of printing and is a relaxed friendly environment.

About Viola

Viola Wang is a visual artist and author working in painting, bookmaking, illustration, murals, and education. Diversity and inclusion are underlying themes throughout Viola’s practice as an artist and storyteller. As an award-winning children’s book author and illustrator, her books have been translated into multiple languages and distributed globally. Printmaking is at the core of her practice. She enjoys experimenting with a wide range of printmaking techniques and developing various visual languages for her illustration and fine-art practice. Viola is also a passionate educator, specialising in illustration for children’s literature. She has taught at Cambridge School of Art, the University for Creative Arts and Kingston University.
